Thanksgiving is around the corner and it’s the time to remember more than ever how grateful we are for what we have in our lives. For me, it’s my health, my family, my friends, my expanding business and honestly, the downtime from the pandemic. It’s really brought everyone closer, from my own family to networking groups. Everyone around me has been so understanding and accommodating because I am high-risk. I haven’t felt any pressure to show up somewhere I wasn’t comfortable and people have found ways to include me in everything. I’m also grateful for Joe Biden’s win in the presidential election and the celebrations and happiness that occurred all over the United States. This is the time to respect one another and move forward. Every Monday night, I hop on a family Zoom chat and it’s keeping us in even better connection than we had in the past. Face-to-face is lovely, however the six of us are located from New Hampshire to the Florida Keys, so even before the pandemic, it was difficult. My networking groups have become even more efficient over Zoom and I’ve loved connecting with new people through my monthly virtual breakfast series. Find the link below if you’d like to join us. The Rotary has continued to thrive, despite all odds, and we even raised $20,000 at our latest fundraiser which was held entirely online. What an accomplishment! That money will go to very deserving charities. For Thanksgiving this year, we are having vegetarian dishes! It might be surprising, but I’m not a huge fan of turkey, and neither is my son, so this is much more our taste. Meal planning made me think of my daughter and a funny story about the Stouffer’s Mac and Cheese dish which was always a staple at our Thanksgiving table. Her grandmother would prepare it and put it into a CorningWare casserole dish. My daughter never saw the frozen box it came in and was amazed when she found out what it actually was. At PTCFOs, we understand the frozen box side of your business, the behind the scenes. The budgeting, the invoicing, the payroll, the insurance, the expenses. We are your partners and if you want to chat about our services for the coming year, schedule time with me here. I want to wish you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday filled with joy and love no matter what it looks like! |
